China’s largest multi-purpose pulp ship “Zhong Yuan Hai Yun Kai Tuo” was delivered to COSCO Shipping Special Transportation Co., Ltd. by COSCO Shipyard in Dalian, Liaoning Province on January 11, 2019.
The deadweight of this vessel is 62,000 tons and the loading instrument is supplied by Sea Control System Corporation Limited.
M/V Zhong Yuan Hai Yun Kai Tuo has 6 large cargo tanks with total capacity of 72,500 cubic meters, which can meet the requirements of ultra-long and large heavy equipment loading.
It is also equipped with multiple cranes, which can self-load and unload for up to 150 tons of cargo.
It can not only transport pulp, but also transport high-speed trains, wind power equipment, large mechanical equipment, ultra-long and heavy steel pipe pile structures, etc.
The wide range of routes and transportation diversity provide strong support for China’s pulp imports，breaking the monopoly status of European ship owners on the pulp transportation market.
